Friends of the FFA
Out of everything I have gained while being in FFA, the memories, connections, and friendships that have created a family bond is something I will never forget. Being in Ag Kid never gets boring! Let me share my favorite events throughout the year with my FFA Chapter that we all create new memories and team building. From our Ag Room and Barn all the way to Indiana, we always know how to have a good time!
National FFA Convention
My Chapter is fortunate enough to have the opportunity of attending Nationals twice to receive a National Chapter Award. We have created traditions of visiting an Ag Tour, Goodwill Outfit Exchange Challenge then going to Waffle House. We have also played a Mullet Murder Mystery Game as well as an Escape Room. National Convention is unforgettable. Meeting Influencers, Seeing the ''Sea of Blue'', Flying on a plane with your friends and having fun challenges when you arrive.
Florida FFA Convention
State Convention is what sparked my interest and opened my eyes to FFA. This is the best part of the year to be an FL FFA member!! The party energy is the highest at FL FFA General Sessions, don't be scared to dance you will regret if you don't. Going to States opened so many doors, built a Ag family, stomach pain from laughing so much and memories that will always stay with me. If you have the chance to go, take it!! You always start somewhere, you do not know where the blue jacket will bring you.
Chapter Officer Leadership Training (COLT)
This conference helps officer teams identify their strengths and weaknesses as a group, and learn advanced interpersonal communication strategies and presentation delivery techniques. My favorite part of COLT is the bus ride all together and doing our annual photos on the dock.
Officer Bonding Bowling
After a day of summer volunteering, My Advisors bought us all lunch and bowling. This was perfect to have fun and get to know the team before the school year started.
Chapter Parade Floats
We take our Parade Floats Serious! We have done Homecoming, Christmas and County Fair Parade. This encourages members to work together to think of ideas from a theme then make it come to life. This float for homecoming parade was ''Alice in Agland'' after our homecoming theme.
Monthly Chapter Meetings
Ag Color Wars
Chapter Members play color wars by creating teams and hiding throughout our Ag Barn Property from designated assassins. The last team to get colored water on them, wins. My team, ''Pink Ladies'' won Best dress & Best name! Super fun event to get members to engage with others.
Harvest Hoedown - Nov Mtg.
Fall Game Meeting we had Feed Bag Runs, Apple Bobbing, Three-Legged race, wheelbarrow run, and pie an Ag teacher vote for $2. My chapter was going through a rough patch after the hurricanes, this was a way for us to forget and have fun.
Haunted Trail
Chapter Officer create a Halloween Haunted Trail on our Ag Barn Property, as the chapter members walk down. We do a cookout and pumpkin carving along with the trail!
Christmas Meeting
To Celebrate Christmas we hosted a White Elephant Gift Exchange, Gingerbread House Decorating Contest, Karaoke and Dinner. Our chapter funded for a Angel Tree Donation for support in the holiday season.
